Today I’m wiring about some exciting news. Now you are all aware that I created a new way or working with glass, well I’m going to be featured in a soon to be released book by Tone Ørvik and Max Stewart. It’s called “Pate De Verre: Material of Time”. It will be released August/September this year.

I’m a very lucky individual in that Max Stewart - a renown pate de verre artist - is also my tutor at University of Wolverhampton, UK. How lucky am I, right? Well, it he that taught me pate de verre and inspired me to research about glass clay. I’m so honoured and awed by the fact that I was permitted to be included in his book, and to be honest I can’t quite believe it still. I’ve seen the book, thanks to Max, and I can’t wait to get my hands on it. It has information about all the great pate de verre artists out there, including a good friend of mine, Evelyn Gottschall Baker.

if you’re into glass and want to know more about pate de verre, I can’t stress enough how much you need to get this book. It’s looks amazing. There is so much information in there, not just about the techniques but also about the artists. please check it out if you can. You can find it in most book selling sites, the main being Amazon, of course. I hope you will get yourself a copy.

The book any glass artist will be needing this year!!

I want to take this opportunity to thank both Max and Tone for including me in the book. And, especially thank Max for introducing me to this glass technique, and never once telling me that my ideas were crazy or stupid, but instead supporting me and guiding me to take chances and fulfil my crazy ideas to their fullest.
