So, I haven't posted in a while, which I'm sorry for. I've been a little busy and distracted recently. I should have posted a long time ago about the amazing Pâte de Verre Exhibition at the Stourbridge Glass Museum, which my work was a part of. Yes, I know, my work being showcased with some mind-blowing glass artists, and in such a prestigious place as the Glass Museum.
Including my work, there were works my Max Stewart, Evelyn Gottschall Baker, Tone Ørvik, Alicia Lomné, Keith Cummings and Emma Varga. The exhibition is based on the comprehensive book Pâte de Verre: The Material of Time, by Dr Max Stewart and Tone Ørvik, which was published in 2022. Which my work is also included in!!
If you've not gone to see all the amazing glass art there, whilst this exhibition is still open (runs until June 2024) you are missing out. The pieces are amazing and the pictures you see of them, in now way do them justice. You have to see these pieces in real life - they are awe inspiring.
Here are a few pictures for your to enjoy:
I truly hope you go check it out, if you can, and if not, please have a look at the book. The time, work and artists that went into creating that book was extraordinary. I'm honoured to be part of the exhibition and the book. It's been an absolutely amazing experience, especially for someone so new the world of glass, and especially pate de verre.
